Lautech students support World Cup 2014

In support of the up-coming World cup in Brazil in few months time, Lautech students had their first Google Map up week days ago. Sources confirmed that the event started on Monday 24th of February and ended on Thursday, 27th of February. The event which is sponsored by Google is said to have been performed in over 100 countries in the world till date and this year's aim is to map up and take pictures of sporting facilities around the globe.

Adepoju Abiodun (A.K.A Biggy) who is a Google Nigeria staff, took time out to pay a visit to the institution last Wednesday and took photographs with Lautech mappers on that day. He gave a motivation talk to the mappers on "Building Self Drive in Youths". The event was colourful and the thirty lucky mappers are said to have been promised an international certificate from Google. The sports facilities mapped were Ogbomoso Recreation club, Soun Stadium and Lautech School field.

Mohammed Abiola and Ogunkunle Ayodele who are the two Google Students Ambassadors for Lautech said they were really happy students turned up for the event and wish to use this medium to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the map up.
